Description: Antique "ERIE" Pre-Griswold #10 cast iron Dutch oven with matching cover. Excellent restored condition. Manufactured from 1890s to 1907. Measures 12 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches tall. The cooking surface measures 10 1/4 inches across. No cracks. Sits dead flat on a glass surface with no wobble or spinning. The exterior surface is very nice with a crisp, clear logo and lettering. There is some minor sulfur pitting that does not affect the lettering. The cooking surface is very nice with moderate pitting that can be seen in the photos. This is not rust pitting, it is the type that comes from 130 plus years of cooking. It will not affect cooking performance in any way. The cover is also in excellent condition with no cracks. It is very rare that a vintage cast iron skillet will have absolutely no movement on a glass surface. Most were not perfect coming out of the foundry. There will likely be some small amount of movement on a flat surface. If the skillet is absolutely perfect, I will definitely point that out :)
