Description: ANTIQUE EO RICHTER PRECISION DRAFTING SET COMPLETE WITH CASE 1900 - 1930 This Richter set in the American wallet style case is in good condition and was private labeled on the face of the case by the U.S. Blue Co., Chicago with Germany underneath. All tools have the E.O. Richter name and mark. E. O. Richter founded the firm in Chemnitz, Saxony (Eastern Germany), trained as a clockmaker he patented the "flat system" in 1892 which ran out in 1905. The set is definitely earlier than 1935; when Richter began fabricating their pen handles from black plastic instead of wood (as in this set). After WWII the firm became a VEB Kombinat (a state owned company) in 1945, using the name “Original Richter” (meaning genuine Richter) on their sets. Contains 12 Pieces Condition: Very good condition especially the tools which are in great condition given their age. The leather case has some wear but is in overall good condition as well.
