The handle is very secure and it screws on and off with ease. It will ship with the handle off. Just a bit of silverplate loss but really looks good for its age. You can see this in the images. I wonder if there is copper underneath as it does look like copper around the inside rim of the pan. Just my opinion. The lid has a very small dimple on the outside edge of the lid. Does not affect how it sets on the top of the pan. Very pretty, shiny piece. The pink you see in the images is a reflection.
