Antique English 1790-1800 Creamware Historical Plate with American Frigate Ship

Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: The price is for one antique Georgian era plate. This is an English Creamware Plate with a 3 masted Frigate Ship with an American flag with 13 stars. The plate was made for the American marked around 1790-1800. The plate is unmarked. Several English potteries made this type of plate, so the maker is unknown to me. Antique. The plate is over 200 years old.Good to Fair condition for age. There was heavy wear to black transfer. This was touched up, but is water soluble and completely reversible. There is some staining mostly on the edges. There is a tiny edge flake that might be an in-the-making sand grit loss. No other chips, or cracks. Displays beautifully. The plate is a beautiful 200 year old example of Creamware with an American Frigate Ship. Transfers are strong. Very collectible example that is getting hard to find today, make this a must for your collection. Measures about 9 3/4" in diameter. Pictures are part of description.
