Description: This antique gold filled watch fob features a shield of blue, yellow and red glass enamel triangles centered within a hand-engraved decorative border. The letters FCB stand for friendship, charity and benevolence. Two swords are passing through, and the shield is topped with the bust of a knight. 1 1/8" tall. Can be used as a fob, charm or pendant. Very good condition except for a scuff on the reverse side and wear to finish on the bale. The Knights of Pythias is a benevolent fraternal secret organization founded in Washington, D.C. in 1864. There are more than 50,000 members world-wide in this group. The men's order was inspired by the tale of Damon and Pythias and its message of loyalty, honor and brotherhood.
