Description: 19 inch Effanbee Ma-Ma doll c 1920's. Crier does not work. Tin sleep eyes with sparse lashes, open mouth with teeth. full compo arms jointed to cloth body at shoulders, compo lower legs. Unpainted molded hair is covered with a human hair wig, seems original. Dressed in a commercially made period dress. Replaced shoes and stockings. Paint on face looks remarkable good, considering the paint loss on the arms. Missing a finger, and wear to fingertips. Missing paint places on legs, particularly the back. From the estate and personal collection of Dian Zillner, author of numerous books on Dolls, Doll accessories, and Doll Houses. Many of the listed items have been used as illustrations in her books.
