Description: Beautiful Edwardian Era painted silk purse from 1902. Given as a gift to Miss Maisha Theodocia McMartin by Ted and Pete Celuloid...or so it says on the Lace Valentine M box it came in. The purse is a gorgeous deep red silk that is painted with white daisies. The lining is a bright yellow with yellow silk picot ribbon for the drawstrings! The purse doesn't look like it was used very often if ever. One of the ribbons has a slit through the end. On the inside, you can see the super tiny stitches that were used to create the drawstring channel! Please see photographs for condition and any flaws.
