Description: Antique French dore bronze trinket or jewelry Box, dated to early-mid 19th century. Made of gilt bronze, embellished with embossed floral pattern. Lid display miniature portraits of Louise XVI and Marie Antoinette - last royals before French Revolution. Miniatures are signed 'Berton", framed in bronze frames and embedded in porcelain plaque. Inside box lined with cotton lining.It measures 8.25" (21 cm) long, 6" (15.3 cm) wide, 2.5" (6.5 cm) high.The Box is in very good condition, apart from lining being worn here and there and a couple tarnished spots outside.
