Description: Antique Derby Gold Neoclassical Acanthus Leaf Scrollwork & Cobalt Under Plate Nice antique British bone china under plate for a small tureen. Has a gold Neoclassical acanthus leaf scrollwork over cobalt blue border. Gadrooned edge with gold highlights. Marked on the bottom with faint red crown mark. The mark is hard to make out, but probably one of the printed Blor Derby marks used between 1825 and 1848. Has crazing typical of bone china, staining, some wear to the gilding, and spidering to the cobalt glazed areas, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 7 3/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. Click here to see all the Derby porcelain we have for sale.
