This exquisite piece has been beautifully decorated with a relief design depicting the native Australian Waratah flower alternating with scallop shells contained within horse shoe crescents. A large flower is impressed to the base while the scalloped rim perfectly completes the exquisite design. Light reflects beautifully off the elegant curves of the scalloped top rim and the impressed pattern adding a stunning sparkle to the clear flint glass and radiating light throughout the form. This piece has been pressed into a four part mould. The inclusion of the Australian native flower would suggest an Australian manufacturer such as Crown Crystal, however we have never before come across this rather magnificent pattern. There are a few straw marks, a standard part of the manufacturing process but mentioned for complete accuracy. There is no frosting, clouding or build up on the glass. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.
