Description: This is an authentic antique Victorian Era D. Peres Solingen pair of scissors with original scabbard. The scissors measure 8 1/4" long and 2 1/2" wide in the widest part. The handles are decorated with so typical for the era scrolling and the gaps are filled with peridot green enamel. This design is present only on one side of the scissors. There are some circular scratches on the outer blades of the scissors, most likely from sharpening. The blades are in a very good functional condition. The scabbard is made of leather and lined inside with velvet. The tip of the scabbard is finished with a metal tip. The outer surface of the scabbard is made of leather dyed green. This part of the set has visible signs of age and handling- the green color is worn off. The scabbard measures 6 1/2' long. Really rare set of dressmakers scissors, amazing find.
