Description: Made in the city of 100 potters, this antique Clement Massier studio Bud vase was manufactured in Vallauris Golfe Juan, France in 1901. The vase has a very pretty luster glaze with a Sunburst. The glaze is exquisite. Massier had another artist working in his studio named Lucien Levy-Dhurmer. His luster glazes are very unique. Massier was awarded a gold medal at the Paris exposition universelle in 1900. That same year Massier became a supplier to the British crown. This vase features a sun burst pattern and is signed by Golfe Juan. The 3.5" earthenware bud vase is hand-painted in a multicolor art nouveau style, showcasing the artistry of the art nouveau era. This vintage piece from the Art Pottery production style is a unique and decorative addition to any collection. His work can be found in museums around the world.
