Description: This is an exquisite antique Chinese solid cast bronze Tang horse sculpture from the early 20th century. The piece is beautifully crafted with intricate details and depicts a majestic horse with an elaborate tasseled saddle blanket and saddle. The naturally aged patina is a gorgeous burnished brown color with hints of gold. In the Tang dynasty, the horse was an emblem of wealth and power. Art work of these horses were meant to embody rank and speed. The sculpture measures 10”H x 11.5”W x 4.5”D, weighing 8 pounds 5oz. and is believed to have originated from China as an import during the late Qing dynasty (1911).
