Description: I bought this beautiful fan in Bejing in 1968. They were not selling tourist junk, back then. This fan is the real thing! The paper is of double thickness so that the lacquer slats are covered. The detailed scene is of many people crossing a bridge into a city. The soft pastel colors are truly beautiful. The light orange along the top edge could make the scene be either sunrise or sunset. The fan is in excellent condition: No stains, holes, tears in the paper, or broken or warper slats. When open, the fan is 18" from tip to tip and 11" high. This fan is a real beauty.
