Exterior of the book shows some soiling to the spine and vague and superficial watermarks to the back cover as well as some heavy rubbing and a bit of loss to the cloth at the outer upper and lower ends of the spine and corner edges of the boards. Pastedown illustration at the front cover shows some rubbing/minor loss at the upper lefthand corner. Interior of the book is overall very clean. Illustration at the frontispiece has an archival paper tape reinforcement to the reverse side of it as there is a heavy but very hard to notice and now reinforced crease to the page. Some pages show minor tatters at their margins. Book's binding is a bit shaken but is structurally intact and firm. Book's color illustration plates have been fully collated, and all are present but for the last one listed in the contents at page 178. Book has no odors. Book totals 181 pages, measures approximately 9 1/2 x 7 1/4 x 1 3/8 inches and weighs about 2 pounds.
