Description: Nice example of this rare, nearly 200 year old gothic apostle teapot. Overall condition is great but a couple issues exist. Firstly I don’t think the lid is original. There is a tiny chip in the bottom rim of lid. The lid does fit well and looks correct on the pot. If you didn’t know it was not original it wouldn’t appear to be. Second it has a star crack in the base. It’s superficial and not structural but it’s there. This is a common occurrence on pottery and porcelain vessels. They get set down too hard and a star crack spreads but never actually becomes a larger issue. It should still hold water fine. The piece is otherwise in great condition. Ships ASAP! Thanks
