Description: This Antique Consolidated Fruit Jar Company Mason's Patent 1858 Jar is a rare find from the 1800s. The jar has a beautiful light light aqua color and is made in the United States. It has a diameter of 4 1/4" at the bottom, 9" in height, and 2 1/2" in diameter at the mouth. The Jar is a quart volume and has a zinc lid. The lid is in excellent condition. The lid is from a batch of unused lids my great-grandmother purchased in the 1920s and never used. The number "E 90" is embossed on the bottom. This Jar is perfect for collectors of antique bottles and insulators, and those interested in the history of Mason jars. This item is a must-have for any collection. This jar is quite unique. It has multiple large bubbles in the glass, at least a dozen. Some are between 1/4" and 3/4", One bubble is even on the surface. The rim of the mouth is rough, and the surface of the glass is not smooth. The lid is in near mint condition. This jar may have been made in Hawley, PA at the Keystone Glass Works. My great-grandfather worked there between 1889 and 1917.
