Description: Antique Carnival Glass Northwood Amethyst Bowl Ruffle Edge Click images to enlarge Description Antique carnival glass bowl, also called poor man's Tiffany glass, made by Northwood in Wheeling, West Virginia between 1908 throughout the 1930s. This piece consists of a bowl with a ruffle around the edge. The outside of the bowl is made of plain smooth glass Amethyst in color. The inside shimmers with iridescent multiple colors. It measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The bottom is marked with the letter N. Although it has no chips, there are mold lines and a straw mark inside made during manufacturing.
