A beautiful, high quality and rare heavily chased bronze neoclassical tazza dating from the 19th C. This elegant tazza is of sectional construction. The bronze has been heavily and elaborately decorated in high relief. Classical figures and buildings, masks, cherubs, animals, urns, mythical beasts, scrolls, fruit, rams heads etc profusely cover the surfaces. The tazza appears to have well maintained throughout its life having maintained a nice subtle lustre and good aged patination. Dimensions: The tazza stands 7”. And is just shy of 8” in diameter. Condition: In good used antique condition. The tazza is clean and has a lovely aged lustre. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. There are surface age related surface deposits developing a nice natural aged patina. The tazza could be polished bright but that is a decision for its future owner. The top plate sits very slightly off true horizontal. We encourage potential buyers to make use of the 24 images to satisfy themselves of condition and encourage any enquiries.
