It is un-signed but done in the manner of Austrian artist Franz Bergmann, the style is Chinoiserie with Regency/Brighton Pavillion influences. The piece depicts a beautiful Asian woman holding a xylophone-type musical instrument and its mallet; she wears flowing robes, with floral detailing, and stands atop a rocky base. The figure features a wonderful cold-painted finish in yellow, red, white, and gold tones. The statue has a lovely patina. It will add classic Chinoiserie style to any collection! The statue presents well and is in very good condition, with minor display wear and patina, and minimal loss to painted finish. There are minor casting flaws. No damage is noted.
