Description: I had this appraised many years ago and was told that this is an original antique tray handmade somewhere in the Middle east to the Far east. It is not one of the many light weight trays made for the tourist industry. The main theme appears to be a man riding a camel with 4 birds and vegetation around him. Around this appears to be writing which I do not recognize. Then there is more decoration around that again. It weighs about 6 1/2 lbs and is a little under 25" in diameter and about 1 1/4" in depth. I believe that this is bronze rather than brass based on the patina but I'm not positive. The back has a flat black coating.
