Description: Charming set of barrel shaped salt & pepper shakers. These were made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, which was founded in 1828 and was closed in 1888, due to disputes with the labor union. The glass is amber glass and each has a rich honey color, one slightly darker. The lids are matching and may or may not be original. One has a small spire. The Boston and Sandwich Glass Company was one of the earliest factories to produce pressed glass, making these a true historical antique. They will make a great addition to any EAPG glass collection. Each stands about 2 1/4" tall.
