Antique Book "Golden Counsels" D. L. Moody, American Evangelical Literature

Description: D. L. Moody (born 1837), was an American evangelist and publisher based in the North-East who founded the Moody Bible Institute. He was known throughout the world for his passionate teaching and preaching. Moody once famously said: "Faith makes all things possible... Love makes all things easy." He wrote a few books, many of which (including this one) are now incredibly rare to fine. "Golden Counsels" was his last book, published in 1899, the year Moody died. This is a first edition print ("Copyright 1899), published by the "United Society of Christian Endeavor, Boston and Chicago". 41 pages. Book size: 7 1/4" height x 4 7/8" width x 1/4" thickness. It weighs 5oz. CONDITION, This book is in good condition yet shows signs of age and wear as one would expect with a 100+ year old antique book. The very first page - a picture of jesus preaching - has detached from the spine (see pic). All the other pages are still well bound and intact. Examine all the pictures closely. A few lines in the book have been underlined in pencil. The inside cover has been stamped "Property of Hilltop Manor Inc".
