Topped by a hinged metal lid and collar, suspended from a chain for a chatelaine. Decorated with a cut intaglio engraving depicting a 'spa' view of an architectural scene. A fine souvenir, portraying the Conservatoire de musique de Genève. Founded in 1835 by François Bartholoni, the conservatory is the oldest music education institution in Switzerland and one of the oldest conservatory in Europe. In good condition with some general wear commensurate with age.
