Description: Antique Atkin and Sons carpentry smoothing plane - wooden 'coffin' - probably 1900-1930s Marked "Gower" (probably the owner) and Atkin and Son, Sheffield, Birmingham and A & S logo on the fore end. Some cracks on the body but appears to otherwise be in sound condition. Has not been disassembled - in 'as found' condition. Appears to be functional. Has been in storage for many decades.
