Description: A beautiful early 1900s arts and crafts mission lantern sconce saved from a demolished home in Ithaca. The 4 glass panels are textured caramel glass salvaged from an old church window. The socket is porcelain, damp-location rated. Wiring is new and includes a ground wire. The cast iron was stripped to bare metal and refinished in dead black, as it would have been over 100 years ago, and given a matte top coat to hold up longer. Condition is overall very good; one side is more pitted than the others, likely because it was more exposed to weather. The cast iron chain and canopy are original. The chain could be lengthened to increase the drop height. Specs: 16" dropLantern box is 4.5 x 4.5" x 8" to the top of the chain attachment point7 lbs 6 oz We also have a similar mission/arts and crafts cast iron sconce.
