Description: Antique Art Nouveau Framed colored Print "Miranda" by Artist John Hoppner 29.5" 29 1/2” x 21 5/8” x 1/2” 7 lb 13 oz Gorgeous antique print of a portrait done by John Hoppner (1758-1810). He was a British portrait artist. He painted royalty and was a successful artist in his time. Along the bottom of the paper on the left there is an embossed logo of the printmaking studio. Then in the middle on the bottom it says "Copyright in the United States of America by Alfred Bell & Co. London, England 1921(?)". This printer was active from 1911-1922. There is a pencil signature on the bottom right but I can't make out what exactly it says. It could be the artist who colorized the print by hand. I believe the frame is original to the print's time. The entire piece has an angelic art nouveau feel. The colors are soft and beautiful. This is quite a stunning piece in person. I'm selling another framed piece by the same artist. It would be lovely paired with this one. Please fee free to check it out. There frame shows some wear. There is some scuffing and loss of paint/surface. The back shows the most wear. I have not examined the artwork outside of the frame. Please see pictures for condition detail. I refund shipping if it's less than estimated.
