Description: Aquamanile brass lion oil lamp, German. 19th century copy of 16th century style This lovely temple lion lamp is made of brass and has acquired a nice patina from age.It features a very elaborate hand engraved design throughout along with a dimensional lion head badge on the front of the chest. Oil pours into the top of the head opening and a wick would be put In the mouth.Measures approx. 3.5” Possibly made by Erhard & Sons in Germany Shows signs of age-related wear. Missing chain and cap (see pics)
