Description: This is an excellent 18th century American cherry tilt top table. It has a birdcage section between the top and the base, brass latch, slipper feet, turned pedestal and rimmed edge. It has a Dutchman repair to the underside of the table top, with butterfly inserts. The table stands approximately 28 inches high with a 22 by 22.75 inch top, the difference in diameter resulting from shrinkage along the wood grain over time. When tilted, the top of the table measures 40.5 inches. The item(s) are antique and sold as is/as found. The item(s) may show wear, fading, scratches, repairs, restoration, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description.
