Description: Antique ABP Hand Cut Crystal WATER OR WINE CARAFE DECANTER Superb Early DesignGenuine original, hand blown, circa mid-late 1800sDecanter Size Approx. 9.5" Tall, 17" around at widest midpoint, Footed base 3 3/8"Across. Covered with a stunning design of hand cut beveled diamond cuts of graduating sizes in bands, each diamond contains a beautiful VERY detailed hand cut star. In between the top and bottom band of diamonds there is a center design of accordion pleats. 2 rings at neck and zipper cut notches along the neck, which is hexagonalLarge hand cut octagonal bevel-cut star consisting of radiating lines to underside.Weighted base. An heirloom piece. This is a gorgeous decanter, such a charming shape, almost impossible to locate. Great for a collector, would look fantastic in any setting and is perfect for use.Very Good antique condition, there are 3 noticeable chips at the edge of the footed base, and 1 tiny nick at the EDGE of the top rim which does NOT cut across surface of rim. See last 3 pics and use zoom. The chips on the foot are all close together, so that when the decanter is turned with them at the back, they are not visible from front or side. No other nicks chips scratches or damage. Superior craftsmanship, this is truly a piece of Art and a very fine example of EARLY American Brilliant Period Cut Glass.
