Antique 9 1/4" Furstenberg Plate-Large Flower + Small Flowers-Gold Rim-1860-1900

Description: Offered are these antique porcelain china plates, made by Furstenberg in Brunswick, Germany. The plates have a hand-painted multicolored floral design, featuring an orange-brown flower, which somewhat varies on some plates (see third paragraph), all on a white background, with a narrow gold rim. I have not been able to find out the pattern name, and a quick eBay search finds no others like these. Furstenberg, in Brunswick, Germany, is one of the oldest German potteries; the company began in the 1700s and is still in business today. The style of blue "F" mark on the underside indicates these were made sometime between 1860 and 1900. There is also another Furstenberg mark; an orange-brown oval-perhaps a decorator mark? Each plate is approx. 9 1/4" in diameter. All are in good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are varying degrees of light surface wear, minor scratches, small factory bumps, wear to the gold rims and to the undersides. All of the oval underside marks are distinct, but some of the blue "F" marks are blurry or faint. One plate has a small "dip" on the rim, but as this is under the gold rim line it apparently was a factory issue, painted over (see last photo). At the time of original listing I had 10 of these for sale. Since these are hand-painted they are not all identical. Five have basically the same design (shown in the first two photos), with very minor variations. The other five are slightly more varied; two examples are shown. Photos #6 & #7 show one example-note the purple flower on the left is pale blue here and the burgundy flower on the right is pale yellow and almost non-existent.
