Description: It is 7 I believe the frame to be wood underneath the black paint. The hanger appears to brass and depicts an acorn. The metal oval frame appears to be silver plate over copper (?) and has worn away in spots. There is one tiny circular chip on the right side of the convex glass. Hard to see unless you are looking for it. The paper on the back is very brittle. It says the artwork was printed by WJ Hay /John Knox House, Edinburgh Scotland. This is a rare period frame. The only examples I could find were sold by Auction Houses and generally from estates. Overall it measures 7 1/4" tall and 5 3/8" wide The convex piece of glass (opening) is 4 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide
