Description: Neat, antique 19th century, Georgian, novelty, ‘Axe my Donkey’ snuff or treen tobacco container. Manufactured in England, c. 1820s. Measures 1” 3/8 wide by 1” 1/ l4 tall. It’s in used condition and shows its 200 year old age. There’s some wear and loss on some of the mules, stamped graphic. There’s also indentation and holes on the lid too. The inside is lined with a metal/tin type material. There’s wear to this metal. The inside depth is 1/4 of an inch. The back also has some indents of the wood, and minor age stains as well.
