Description: Up for sale is this Antique 19th Century European Carpenters Woodworking Tongue Plane Inv#PD04This a great example of 19th century tongue plane. This plane measures approx., 11-1/4" L x 1-5/8" W. There are no markings on toe or heel. except for punched holes (see photos) The plane has typical nicks, stains, scratches and scars from age, use and toolbox. Wedge is original. NOTE: The cutter is FROZEN in the plane and I have not tried to remove it, I will leave that up to you the expert!!! It measures approx overall 7-1/4" L x 1-1/4" W x 1/4" . Cutter has pitting and rust but it would clean up nicely.(see all photos) I always suggest a good honing to get it back to optimal use. THIS IS A GREAT USER OR COLLECTIBLE PLANE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!!It would be a great user and nice addition to your collection.
