The underside of the piece is marked with hand painted numbers "D 942" and an impressed circular Longwy mark used from 1870 onward. The bright and bold enameled glaze in a cloisonné-style Chinoiserie design features a colorful birds surrounded by foliage and flowers. The blue ground features Longwy's signature Chinese-style craquelure glaze.
