Description: Antique book, dated 1924, is ST. MARY'S MANUAL Part II, Chants and Hymns. It measures 3-1/2" x 5-1/4" and has a hard cover, with embossed design on front, and has 426 pages not including index. Compiled, arranged and edited by Christian A. Zittel. Published by John A. Reger, The House of Religious Art and Catholic Supplies in Toledo, Ohio. Covers have wear, particularly on edges and corners. Gold lettering on spine has mostly worn off. Red page edges are mottled. Inside paper of front cover has torn away at upper left corner, and there is handwriting in pencil on the facing page (see fourth photo). Title page has a 1/4" vertical tear at bottom right corner (seen at bottom right in fifth photo and bottom left in sixth photo). SOME TINY BENT CORNERS although they appear to be accidental rather than to mark pages (pages 3-6, 91-94). Pages otherwise pristine, in nice condition for a 100-year-old book, with tight binding.
