You are most likely buying it for parts or repair **this comes with the original key This is what I can tell you. The mechanisms are not completely frozen or inactive. The pendulum does swing & prompts the gears but does not keep time/momentum even though it appears to be wound. It also appears that someone attempted to repair/maintenance semi recently. There are some phillips screws on the face plate and possibly some adhesive around the arms. The wooden body base also has signs of age/wear. The metal on clock movement is stamped in several places - "gilbert" "1904". This is an antique piece. It is not new, modern, or mint. Selling as parts/repair.
