Description: UP FOR SALE: Antique 1910-30s Bausch & Lomb SQ ARTSHEL Eyeglasses Black 12/14K Gold Small Missing one lens and the hinge on the left side needs the screws adjusted or replaced FOR PRESCRIPTION LENSES: CONSULT YOUR LOCAL OPTICAL STORE FOR REPLACEMENT LENSES. SMALLER PAIR PLEASE CHECK THE SIZE--Possibly a Children's size MARKINGS: B&L SQ ARTSHEL (on interior bridge)HINGE TO HINGE: 4.38" or 111.4mmLENSES: 1.6" x 1.58"or 40.6mm x 40.1mmTEMPLES/ARMS: 6 7/8" (shooter style temples wrap around adjustable)--this measurement was taken with the piece stretched as flat/straight as I could These are not marked anywhere to the gold content (karat) so I did an acid test with 10k 14k and 18k acid and have included photos. I took the sample from the gold piece on the bridge of the nose---I believe them to be 14k solid on the nose piece. Bausch Lomb SQ Artshel glasses dates on these can range from early 1900's to the 1920's These are in pretty good condition in the original hard case and the condition that these are in, they are hard to find. These have been cleaned with warm water and mild soap. They are 12K / 14KGF frames and cable temples/arms. THEY ARE NOT PERFECT, HOWEVER THEY ARE TRUE VINTAGE ALL THE WAY.
