Description: Up for sale is this rare antique 1906 baby book, "The Biography of Our Baby." The book is nicely illustrated by Bessie Collins Pease. It consists of pages intended to be filled out about one's baby, as well as with a few pages of printed poetry pages written by Edmund Vance Cooke. The book is partially filled out with information about a baby named Leverett McNeil Lawton who was born in 1907. There are 13 pages with handwritten entries and 8 pages which still remain blank. No photos of the baby are included in the book. The hair page has a small lock of the baby's hair adhered to the page as well as a larger lock which is loose and tucked between the pages. The covers of the book only have some light soiling and wear. There is an old circular gold label adhered to the bottom of the back pastedown and some light foxing to the endpapers. The interior is lightly toned from age but is mostly nice and clean with just some occasional light foxing, soiling, and grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, etc. The book measures approximately 10 1/4 inches by 7 3/4 inches.
