Description: I hope you're having a great day my name is Michael this glass exide battery box is an excellent condition a little history on these glass batteries this is probably the earliest of the exide batteries it doesn't say exide Delco Delco is famous for their batteries in the early 1920s and 1930s exide means excellent oxide don't know the exact timing when exide and Delco got together I do know that exide was before them and this is the example not too many of these around they're very rare this is a voltaic cell that can produce up to 80 amps at the time they weren't just used in cars but they're quite famous in places where they didn't have electricity like in the Ozarks exide started making these batteries in the 1880s chloride electric Storage Company by Mr Gibbs in 1888... so enjoy bidding I think I've seen one more like this but it had a Nick on the top of it they were selling it cheap you look closely there is no Nicks and it's and it's an aqua color hard to see in the pictures but it's a beautiful aqua thank you much again please bid on it you won't be unpleased your friend Michael have an excellent day
