Description: This is an antique English 18th century brass chamber stick. It measures 9 inches long from the end of the handle to the end of the base (22.8 cm). It measures 6 1/2 inches tall at the end of the handle (16.5 cm). The candlestick measures 4 inches tall (10.1 cm). The base measures 4 1/2 inches wide (11.4 cm). I did some preliminary research and found a number of these reproduced. This is definitely 18th century, based on original examples I saw. The handle is attached with two rivets. The candlestick screws on near the bottom. I didn’t clean this at all. There is scattered old candle wax and dirt/dust in the base. There is green tarnishing on the bottom along with what looks like an old possibly price tag that has mostly come off. There is quite a bit of scratching on the bottom also. It weighs a touch over 15 ounces (430 g).
