Description: This arm chair is made by Old Hickory Chair Co. Martinsville IND. It represents the early years of the company before the name changed on the incised stamp. The stamp is on the leg. This chair was made between 1895 - 1921. This is a very heavy and sturdy settee. It has been used throughout the years and does have some damage which is reflected thru the detailed pictures. This damage is very common for its age and this piece still would be considered to be in very good condition. Old Hickory Chair Co. used a incised stamp or used a paper decal. In some cases nothing at all. This settee has the stamp. The early furniture made by this company had a simple weave to the seat and back rest. The bark of the wood is prominent throughout the whole settee. This item is separately listed but four other matching pieces are listed in our eBay store.
