Description: This is an antique clear glass spooner made by Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton in the 1890's. The pattern is Strawberry and Currants, sometimes known I believe as Cornucopia. Height is just shy of 6 1/4 inches (6 3/16 inches according to my measurement). It's in fairly good condition, with a number of small flaws hard to notice. Here's the condition report: -An area of some sort of area cracking at the top of the stem where it meets the body (pic #15) -The stem is tilted a bit though the bowl is straight up -No chips on top rim (outside, inside, top), with a tiny black occlusion or nick on the top of the rim between two scallops -Many small bubbles-A few tiny nicks that may be protruding bubbles -Two areas of thin scratches inside (I think probably stretched bubbles)-Two side by side scratches near the rim, above the strawberry (possibly tooling marks)-Foot has some roughness on the thin ring around it, and one nick on the side of the foot rim-A couple of very small areas of blackening on the surface A beautiful piece of EAPG 19th century glass. I didn't notice the flaws when I bought it until I examined it thoroughly at home. Please see pics for plusses and minuses of condition. Pics are high quality so zoom in to get better detail.
