Description: Please email with any questions. 11" by 8 1/2" ecru colored lined paper with letterhead of Richmond Cedar Works, (Limited), manufacturers of tubs, pails, churns, &c., Richmond, Virginia, factory in Manchester. Letter dated March 14, 1884, sent to a hardware merchant in Macon, Georgia, written by Wm H Parrish, secretary & superintendent. He regrets that the Macon merchant's order can't be filled "Since the destruction of our works the NY & Phila factories have advanced price on tubs 25c per nest & we have to do the same to keep our stock from going off too rapidly.". He then quotes the price with adjustment. Some slight soiling on the back, fold lines from original mailing.
