Description: Lovely original 1860's leatherbound commonplace book friendship album. The album contains approximately 11 pages of handwritten content and is illustrated with 4 engraved plates and an engraved title page. It has several blank pages with approximately 31 leaves or so which are completely blank. Some of the blank leaves are mixed in between the leaves with content. The album measures approximately 7 7/8 inches by 6 3/8 inches. The black leather covers have some mild wear. There is a small section of cracking to the lower back leather joint; however, the binding is still good and sound. The interior is toned from age with some occasional foxing, soiling & grubbiness.
