I've made these Christmas Stockings from this piece of 1847 blue, indigo, gold, cream and deep rose wool overshot. This was just a piece of what must have been a very beautiful coverlet. I've added a picture of the corner with the name, location and date. That corner piece is only to help you understand the history of this piece and not for included with this listing and not for sale. The stockings measure approximately 15" long (not including the hanger), 7" at top and 9" from heel to toe. They are lined with muslin making them completely useable. This coverlet has been treasured and used making some areas (gold wool area) thin and you will see some staining. They're backed with a vintage homespun wool fabric. Please remember the fabric will show wear as it's 176 years old! I do combine purchases to help lower the cost of shipping and refund overages as allowed.
