Description: Rare antique 1825 leather bound volume of the Children's periodical, "The Guardian and Monitor. (New Series.) A Monthly Publication Devoted to the Moral Improvement of the Rising Generation." The book is overall in good condition with signs of wear and age. The covers have some scuffing and wear. The binding is good and sound. The first issue lacks its woodcut frontispiece, the other 11 illustrations are present. The interior is toned from age with some occasional foxing and grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a creased corner, small chip or tear, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book contains the 12 issues for the year of 1825. It is 432 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
