Description: This is an undated ticket to a performance of Callender's Famous Georgia Minstrels. Callender's Minstrels was probably the most advertised and widely known Georgia Minstrel shows. They toured across the US and Europe. This ticket is not dated and does not show a location - other then "To-night at the Concert Hall.." On the folded section at the bottom of the ticket is printed. "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1878, Office of Librarian of Congress at Washington DC by O.A. Dupell, 194 Powers St Brooklyn, B.D." The same text is printed in green on both sides of the ticket. This represents a copywrite notice of 1878 for this ticket. This is a very unique item of American history. If is very fragile, the body has a few areas of weakness and the edges are well worn and folded and creased. The same image is printed on both sides. I have several other 1800s currency and documents - happy to combine to reduce shipping
