Description: This exquisite antique doll, titled "Floradora," is a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Measuring at 14 inches in length, this girl doll features wavy blonde mohair wig with an adorable little topknot, then crimped waves flowing down her back, fixed blue, glass, paperweight eyes, and a light complexion. Our little Miss signed by Armand Marseille on the back of her socket head along with 4/0 and her name. She dressed in a meadow green, vintage dress, with snaps up the back. It features a white sheer dotted over-skirt, and lace-trimmed collar and cuffs. She also wears an antique floral-decorated, dark green, straw hat, with white satin ribbons, affixed with a pearl tipped hatpin. Underneath, she wears a crisp, white crinoline, white, lace-trimmed pantalettes, white, patterned tights, and French-styled, white, triple-strap shoes. This doll was probably made around the beginning decades of the 1900s. She originates, of course, from Germany, and is on a very primitive paper-mache body, which I have just restrung for stability. An owner in her past, glued her head in the forward position it is now in, and my efforts to free it from that position, ended in failure. I did not want to damage either the bisque head or the paper-mache body, by increasing my efforts, and since most people want the doll looking forward ANYWAY, I will leave it as is Please pay within 24 hours off choosing your doll.
