Description: Rare & Original - ONE OF A KIND PHOTO from a very important photographer’s estate in Clearwater Florida!! This was stored with some of George’s favorite and most treasured photos. Not only was he the photographer for our county and city for over half a century, many people entrusted and or left photos there during estate liquidations and or after deaths. So we have a huge variety of things to offer you here. This appears to be an advertisement or portrait photo of some of the workers for a particular orange and grapefruit company here in Florida. At first I thought it was an advertisement for vehicles but apparently it is an advertisement or documentation for a fruit company A George Fulmer collection 6x8 Photograph - mounted on 10x12 board, cabinet style photo, I believe the image is early 1900s. This is the only one of this image found in the estate and is in very good condition for its age. The 6x8 image is mounted on a 10x12 board. There was no documentation found. A COA from the estate will come with your purchase George Fulmer. Photographer for the city of Clearwater for over half a century. A Navy enlisted official photographer during WW2 who afterwards, served the city of Clearwater for another 55 years almost until his passing in 2016. Aerial photographer for the Navy, for Pinellas County & so much more!! After cleaning out the 7000 sq ft combination residence & studio by the Clearwater courthouse in 2014, we have been sorting through over 100,000 photographs for the last 10 years, and are finally offering SOME of the best ones up for sale individually. As the estate gains recognition and momentum here, we will begin to list more and more, some in sets, and some for auction as well. Not everything will be sold. We just want to share his work & get it circulated & known. Much of the collection will remain with the curators to share later. We hope to Bring recognition to his life's work as well as to find homes for the history of an entire city as documented by the city photographer. The photographs include everything you would've expected a city photographer to have been present for, from weddings, to new construction, aerial photographs, sporting events, school events, press photography, police, Jaycees, and a really nice , but VERY LIMITED collection of nude photographs from a nudist camp that is still in operation here today. Even more limited, there were a handful of war photographs and film that we were able to save, but it was not much as unfortunately for some reason, he had stored the war photographs outside where they were exposed to the weather, and sadly they had been completely destroyed. The photos that are being offered here were well preserved, found inside the home and studio, in a cool, dry, cellar type setting. FOLLOW US ON EBAY !!! This is quite a project for only two curators, so please follow us, and be patient as we slowly unveil the contents of this massive estate. And always, if you see something that you like, please make an offer!! Shipping will be by usps ground advantage unless otherwise requested.
